Classic Film: The Flight of the Phoenix, 1965

On May 16, the BYU Library Film Series will celebrate the birthday of James Stewart with a free screening of the 1965 film, The Flight of the Phoenix.

Stewart served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and later in the USAF Reserve. He became a Brigadier General.

The Flight of the Phoenix tells the story of a group of men surviving in a downed cargo plane deep in the desert. The film also stars Richard Attenborough, Peter Finch, Hardy Kruger, and Ernest Borgnine. Younger audience members will recognize Attenborough from his work in Jurassic Park.

May 16 at 7:00 pm in the library's Alice Louise Reynolds Auditorium located on level 1.

Admission is free and the public is welcome.
