August 7
The series ends the summer with a Hollywood classic.
Sunset Boulevard tells the story of a down on his luck screenwriter who is drawn into the world of a faded film star.

September 18
The original 1933 King Kong is an early monster film.
The library has the papers of both the director, Merian C. Cooper, and the score composer, Max Steiner.
Critics called it "thrilling" when was released and it was re-released in various versions over the years before being restored. The library of Congress declared it "culturally, historically and aesthetically significant" and added it to the National Film Registry.
This film is often mentioned when people look at the way 1930's Hollywood portrayed the world.

October 30
Join us for our annual Halloween film. This year we're screening the classic alien film Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
It is the 75 anniversary of a film that has been remade several times.

Curator Ben Harry will project Stewart's 16mm film print.
